Everything Should Start With a Cat in a Tie

I can't think of a better way to start a blog post than Titan in a tie. Get it...Tie tan... :) :) :)

Actually this is a post about the coolest event in Albuquerque and maybe the only reason other than visiting your favorite family and friends for coming to Albuquerque. This event starts on a quiet Saturday morning and one asks oneself, should I get up early today. Normally the answer is "Why in the world would I get up early on a Saturday?" However, when your three year old child is up and running up to you saying, "There's balloons outside, Mommy, come on get up," what do you say. I believe there's a scripture about that. Something like if your child asks for a balloon will you give him a boat? If you're not laughing yet, just read a few more lines.

Just so you understand, when we say balloons, we mean balloons, like cover the landscape balloons.

So what do a three year old and one year old do when first presented with a balloon several thousands time their size?

Do they run?

(If you wanted cuteness, theres a big brother looking after his little brother.)

Do they stand transfixed? 

(Works on adults too, hopefully not driving adults, but not always...)

Do they run and try to hitch a ride?

"Have fun up there, son!" (Just kidding...we didn't really send our son up in a balloon by himself...Mommy went with him! (Just kidding again...I believe Mommy's words something along the lines of "I could never do that" (Have to admit you like the triple parentheses)))

 So what does one do after watching balloons all day? Eat as much fried food as possible of course! And, as you can see, we can eat everything fried from your standard fried corn dog to fried candy bar!  

(Nothing like balloons and fried food to bring incredible hordes of people together)

Once bundled up with stroller in tow,

Blankets and puppy dog mittens at the ready,

And we're off to see the most incredible sight in Albuquerque, the Glodeo
