A Normal Week

My new goal is to post every weekend about our week. This is for you, Kirk. :) So we will post by Sunday night at the latest, if we are going to post at all. Anyway, this week has been an exciting one. Bradley had his 4 month doctors appointment. He is good and healthy, and a little lopsided. He was 26 1/2 inches long, and weighed 12 lbs 9 oz. That puts him in the 92nd percentile for length and the 11th percentile for weight. Long and skinny, just like his dad. His head circumference is in the 67th percentile. But apparently he's still in a healthy weight range so that was good. He also had to get his shots. I felt so bad for the little guy.

We also started solids this week! Exciting big first. Here is a picture of Dad's first attempt at feeding him. You would think that it was Brad that got green beans all over the kitchen, but no. Dad, just dropped the bowl. I love Brad's face, like, "uh, dad, are you sure you should be feeding me?

Green Beans all over the Kitchen

We also saw Santa Clause this week. He handled it well. He never really did see who was holding him though.

Last, but not least, I want it to be known that Mike is already turning him into a BYU football fan. This is a picture that I took while they were both watching the BYU football game. What a familiar face. Is he really old enough to have this face when watching football?

Well, goodbye until next week.

Some Bradley Firsts

Bradley got his first owie this week...And it was mom that caused it. I clipped his little finger while clipping his fingernails. I felt so bad...But a band-aid seemed to do the trick. Poor little guy.

Bradley's Owie

His mom also made her first attempt at styling his hair. As you can see, the attempt did not go well. Suggestions are welcome.

Brad's hair

The following picture is just cute. I meant to put it up a long time ago, but haven't gotten around to it. Bradley's first Sunday clothes (compliments of the Wilcox's). Unfortunately, he just grew out of them. He is growing up so dang fast!!

Brad with his Dad

And the winner is...

Well, the polls are in.

Thalia (Pronounced Tal-ya, Tally for short)
  • Mom S.
  • Dane
  • Jessica
  • Jenny
  • Kim
  • Leisel

Pandora
  • Tyler
  • Ashley
  • Dad W.
  • Dad S.
  • Dad R.
  • Mom R.
  • Mike
  • Mary

So, as you can see, Pandora clearly won. Unfortunately, Kim gets 7 votes, SOOOO, introducing our little Thalia!!

This is our cute little kitty and she has been great. Her and Titan finally decided to be friends (as you can see from the picture on the right. This friendship started when our daring little Thalia pounced on a hissing and growling Titan. I was sure she had just committed suicide. But instead, it seemed to knock some sense into Titan, and they have been relatively unseperable ever since.

Brad, our new kitty, and stuff

I've decided I need to stop waiting for pictures before I write. It has now been like a month since I intended to write! Since then, Brad has gotten sick for the first time (sad), gotten better from being sick (happy! Hopefully it just got his immune system ready for the winter!) and we have a new kitty. We are still hoping our little Nike comes home, but in the meantime, Titan needs a friend (although, he would argue that at this exact moment). When Nike comes home, we'll just have 3 cats. (phew, we need a bigger place).

So, it has been quite an adjustment at our house. Titan is TICKED that we brought home another cat. Today, he finally came downstairs by himself for the first time. He was growling and spitting the whole time, but I think it's progress. He even took a few steps into the kitchen. He also tried to bite my face, which promptly got him smacked and locked in the upstairs bathroom for a 5 minute time out. (This is the cat, not our son). I felt so bad punishing him when he has had such a hard weekend, but some things are just not EVER okay, and that is one of them. My poor kitty.

The kitty we adopted is such a sweety. We got her at the shelter and she is 1 1/2 years old. She is so friendly and even licked my nose today, which was adorable. She even let us give her a bath (sort of) last night as soon as we brought her home from the shelter. Okay, so she wasn't thrilled about it, but it went pretty well.

Right now, we are taking votes on her name. We are either going to name her Thalia or Pandora. Which do you like better? And, after you vote, if you have other suggestions, they MIGHT be considered...(although we're pretty set on one of the two above to keep with our oh-so-cheezy greek gods and goddesses theme that we have going for our cats) Anyway, we'd love to hear which one you like better!

Anyway, pictures are on their way! I am just too tired tonight!

Rolling Over

What a great way to start a blog. Two days ago, our Bradley rolled over for the first time. What a cutie. So, I'm getting this up and running. And you can all see the proof. Assuming I can figure out how to attach a movie. Enjoy

I also must admit that the cutest part is the little squeal he lets out after cuz he's so proud of himself. What a cutie.
