This is Mike and Kim's Blog! We love to hike, read, spend time together as a family, and otherwise enjoy the great outdoors. We have 3 kids. Bradley, Noah, and Rinna.

Family Night
Tonight we had the most random, spur of the moment family night down in Kaysville. It made me laugh the weird things we come up with. We were talking about our favorite stories in the Book of Mormon. Mine is just all the stuff with Captain Moroni building his fortresses to protect the people (He is so clever throughout that!!) and Mike's is when Nephi and Lehi break down the prison wall and are surrounded by the clouds of light. So, we built a fort for mine, and threw Bradley around in a blanket for the other. Don't judge us. We're nerds for sure. The videos are below, plus a cute pic of Bradley running through his fort.

Carving Pumpkins
It is so much fun to have a one year old for holidays! Last year, he had no idea. This year, he participates, sort of. This is us carving pumpkins with a few of our friends, Marcus and Kim. It was a fun night.
PS, I love that I can be the cameraman now and don't have to stick my hand in the gunky pumpkin!

Last Hike of the Season
We hiked to the windcaves last Friday for "Fall Break". It was so gorgeous, these pictures don't do it justice. I'm sure that is the end of our hiking for the rest of this year. For the record, Bradley cried pretty much the whole way down the mountain. (He loved going up, and walking around on top, but coming down, he was done)
Stuffed Monkey (Part 2)
There has been general concern about the monkey article. The monkey WAS found. Thank you all who expressed concern for us in this trial. :)

Stuffed Monkey
Tonight, Mike left me home with a hysterical child who was up past his bedtime and could not be consoled. Why would an otherwise seemingly kind husband do that to his poor wife? Because there was a missing monkey at our house, that's why. A green sock monkey. So, Michael went out to find said monkey. It's just a monkey, you may say. I thought so, too. But this monkey has special powers. It puts our child to sleep every single night, whether early, late, at grandma's house, or driving home from a byu football game at midnight. I never fully appreciated its power, until it was gone. I now have the strange urge to go out and buy 10 of them.

Life in general
I love how as soon as we get back to Utah, our blogging hits a standstill. I have been busy though with school and whatnot. But, we are home!!! It is so nice to be back in Logan. I still get giddy when I see grass everywhere. Don't get me wrong. New Mexico has grass. But by the time we left, most of it was brown. And there still isn't as much as there is here. Anyway, I have just loved being back with family. Here are some random pictures of what we've been up to in the last couple months!
Okay, most of my cool pictures are on my mom's computer because I didn't have my camera. Lame. So here are some pictures...but more to come later.

Grandma came to visit!
I just wanted to post some pictures from our fun visit with Grandma!! We had such a great time. I'll admit, I can't wait to come back home to Utah, even though we've loved it here! It will be great to be with family again. Anyway, here is our trip.

I can't believe how fast he's growing up!
Alright, I finally have some footage of Bradley walking. I cannot believe how fast he went from his first few steps to a lot more. I think he'll be walking for real by the end of this week, but what do I know. But here is some video. I just couldn't cut any of it out, so I apologize for the length. But it just made me happy. (Well, all of it except the part where he dodges mom to go to Grandma...) I'm really glad my mom has been down this weekend. What a perfect time for her to be here. It has been a great weekend. Anyway, lights, camera, action...

Bradley started walking today!!
Yes, you read it right. Bradley took his first steps today! It was one of those awesome mom moments and I was so proud of my little boy. Sorry, no pictures yet. He took me off guard. I was about to get him ready for bed, so I had his jammies out and was getting him over to me to put them on. So I held out my hands and had him walk towards me and then I let go of his hands (at which point, he usually sits down) and he took a step! Mike was sitting right there, so I was like, "Mike, Brad took a step by himself!" So Mike looks and I was positive that I had imagined it and that he wouldn't do it once Mike was watching. But no, Mike looked, I did it again, only this time I let go sooner and he took 3 consecutive steps all by himself! Anyway, I know I'm being a mom, but it really was the coolest thing. Man, it was awesome. After that, we tried again, but he was done for the night. It's been a great day.
Pictures
This is Bradley's drawer. He loves to put stuff in it. I'm always excited to open it because I find the most random stuff. Diapers, toys, pens, cat collars, books, you name it. If something is lost, he has probably put it in this drawer. This is the first time, however, that he has put himself in it. And it cracked me up.
This picture is just more proof that my husband is the greatest. I go to workout; I come home just to find out that he took Bradley on a walk to the nearby Smith's just to buy me flowers. What a great guy.
Okay, this picture just cracks me up because Brad has started posing for the camera. But, the funny part about it is that he knows that it will flash, so he'll give this great big smile, but close his eyes. It makes me laugh.
Getting Bradley dressed and undressed is like taking part in a Rodeo. What else can I say?
And, last but not least, these three pictures are of Bradley talking to his Grandma and Grandpa. He loves to touch their faces. (and his own!) And he is always so perplexed when he can't find them behind the computer screen. He does the same with his other Grandparents as well, but unfortunately, I have not as yet caught that on camera.

Family 2010 Trailer
So, I finally finished our Family Movie. However, I deemed it unwise to put the whole thing up here for your enjoyment, so here is an out-of-the-box trailer for your viewing pleasure.
Now, who doesn't want to watch our family video in its entirety. I mean, seriously.

California
Well, I don't have many pictures for this awesome trip we went on, since I took most of them on my mother's camera. SO, I will just put the ones I have! It was such an awesome trip, despite the fact that Bradley and I were sick for most of it, and SO wonderful to see so many colors besides brown (I'm forgetting they exist).
So here are the pics we have, with more forthcoming (I hope my mom sent me a CD in the package she sent out?) If not, she is COMING TO VISIT in a month, so I can get them then. :)
